Obama Scholar Named at NJIT by Hispanic Scholarship Fund
NJIT College of Engineering junior Richard Ossa was selected as one of the first to be named as an Obama Scholar by the Hispanic Scholarship Fund. The scholarship is funded by money that President Barack Obama donated to HSF upon receiving the Nobel Peace Prize. The Hispanic Scholarship Fund designated that the donation be used to help Hispanic students interested in teaching in the science, technology engineering and mathematics fields.
