Jorge Moreno, a successful entrepreneur and owner of CivCon Services, Inc, is celebrating his business’ 10-year anniversary June 11. CivCon is a prime minority firm based in Chicago that specializes in program management, construction management, construction inspection and civil design services.
Despite the tough economy, CivCon has survived and is really making a difference in Chicago. Moreno and CivCon have played a major role in both the reconstruction of Midway Airport and the runway at O’Hare Airport. The firm did all of the civil work for both of these projects.
Moreno grew up in a Chicago neighborhood and graduated from Purdue University with a bachelor's degree in civil engineering. He has worked in the business for 25 years. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in the States of Illinois and Iowa.
Since 2000, CivCon Services, Inc. has provided engineering design, field inspection and program management solutions on numerous projects throughout the region. CivCon has survived the recession while making a major contribution and impact with several aviation projects and airport infrastructure programs.
CivCon Services’ major contributions include their current participation as a Joint Venture Partner of the Program Management Team on the O’Hare Airport Modernization Program and previous work on the Midway Airport Terminal Development Program.
CivCon Services has 4 service divisions - program management, construction management, construction inspection and civil design services - staffed to provide clients with innovative and cost effective solutions on public, private, transportation and institutional projects including major airport programs, streets and highways, schools, financial institutions, and commercial, retail and recreational facilities.
CivCon Services is prequalified in Construction Inspection and provides Phase III Construction Engineering Services on a variety of public transportation projects for clients including the Illinois Department of Transportation, Illinois State Toll Highway Authority and the City of Chicago Departments of Transportation and Water Management.
CivCon Services provides design management and technical services throughout the planning, design and construction phases of the project.
